JOIN SIBA’s TABLE: Headliner Culinary Program
The Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival has at its heart an ethos of celebrating and honouring the local, the African, the wholesome, and the sustainable. To that end, the House on Fire Ampitheatre will host a specially designed Culinary Programme that will be an interactive showcase headlined by one of Africa’s hottest and most loved culinary exports and experts, Siba Mtongana. Saba is the first African Culinary Star to have a global reach and influence in over 130 countries, with her show on Food Network, Siba’s Table.
Siba is incredibly excited to be heading to Luju – “Ms Sibalicious is on her way! This is my first time in beautiful e’Swatini, and I am so excited to connect with my fans and to show share what I love most with them on stage, you can expect to see some VAVAVOOM on the 3rd August at the Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival.”
Siba continues to break industry barriers through her passion for food and people. In the USA alone, the show airs in over 60 million homes on the Cooking Channel, another first for a South African chef.
Apart from being an internationally awarded Chef, Siba is now an ambassador for Foodbank South Africa, an organisation that helps fight hunger or malnutrition in the country. She’s also been interviewed and profiled on CNN International for her global influence in food and her work with Rise Against Hunger.
Sustainable and Local
In addition to Siba, Luju will host a range of regional culinary experts, sustainable food practitioners, craft beverage distillers, regional breweries and wine-estates, as well as crafters and artisans.
The 2019 Luju theme is also brought to life in the Design Café – a space that takes us on a journey of celebration though sculptural art and design works. All elements in the are designed and infused with simple materials that preserve our culture and embrace our environment. Offering focus on creating comforts within our homes and preserving our heritage. Simple pleasures like taking time to swing and discovering small histories is what we yearn at the Design Café.
